Markers sit on the nearest named settlement, not the exact rupture point.
Incidents: TNC compilation (non-exhaustive) of documented attacks, sabotage and theft affecting Syria’s oil, gas and power infrastructure, drawn from SANA, al-Araby al-Jadeed, Al Jazeera, Arab News, Asharq, The National, al-Wehda, Kashaf, ANHA, Mujhar, Syria TV, Ultra Syria, Aksalser and SOHR reporting. Each card links its sources. Impact and later attribution on the Shoula, Tishreen and Hadida cards, and seven of the incidents, were added from follow-up reporting on 29 Oct 2026. Attribution follows what the source reported (sabotage, theft, cause undetermined) and is not independent verification.
Power grid: theft of pylon steel and cable is reported often across Syria. The three grid incidents shown are verified examples, not a full count.
Locations: sources name a town or area, not a fitting, pylon or kilometre post, so markers are placed on settlement centroids. Seven incidents (Jbessa line, al-Hassamiyah, al-Arabidi, Hamr Tawil, the M4 tanker convoy, the Masyaf bridge bus attack and al-Jido station) have no published position and are listed but not mapped. The Tishreen marker is the plant location from Reuters-verified video; the western Daraa marker is the midpoint of the al-Ajami–al-Shajara line.
Pipelines: mapped routes from © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL, extract) and the Arab Gas Pipeline from Global Energy Monitor’s Global Gas Infrastructure Tracker (CC BY 4.0). Water lines and disused lines, including OSM’s sketch of the defunct Kirkuk–Baniyas pipeline, are left out. Breaks under 4 km in the OSM lines are closed and isolated stubs under 3 km are dropped. Few OSM segments say what they carry, so oil and gas lines share one colour.
Approximate routes: no open dataset maps Syria’s domestic network in full. Dotted links are drawn by TNC between mapped line ends and named facilities (refineries, plants, field towns) where reporting places a pipeline; hover a link for its basis. The Rmelan–Raqqa and Jbessa links are schematic.
